From the mid 1980’s until 2011 John Galliano, the flamboyant, iconoclastic head designer at Dior, was considered one of the most important fashion designers in history. But in February 2011 a video emerged of Galliano spewing anti-Semitic slurs in a Parisian bar. He was fired by Dior, berated by the Jewish community and ostracised from the fashion world. He lost everything. And then he tried to make amends.

Kevin MacDonald (Glasgow, 1967) has made numerous award winning documentaries and feature films, including One Day in September (1999, Oscar winner), Touching the Void (2003, BAFTA for Best British film), The Last King of Scotland (2006), Life in a Day (2010 and 2020), State of Play (2009), and bio-docs Marley (2012) and Whitney (2018). His most recent feature film as a director, The Mauritanian (2021) was nominated for 5 BAFTAs including Best Film.
