Jugoslav Pantelić is the director of the Yugoslav Film Archive, the Serbian film archive. He is a member of the European Film Academy, a representative of Serbia in Eurimages, a co-production fund of the Council of Europe, and a member of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts Board in Belgrade. He was the executive director of television, long-time editor of the film programme and film critic of TV Studio B. He is the author of many shows and specials and has conducted a number of interviews from the world of the seventh art. As the director of the Yugoslav Film Archive, Pantelić initiated a great wave of digital restoration of Serbian feature films and the specialized Kinoteka film magazine. He was a member of the Council of the Belgrade International Film Festival - FEST for two terms, and in 2005 he chaired the FEST Council. He was a selector of film festivals in Paris, Novi Sad, Palić, as well as a member of the jury at domestic and foreign film festivals.
Pantelić is the winner of the City of Belgrade Award in the field of journalism, as well as the Silver and Gold Plaques of FEST. He is the initiator of the FEST competition concept and the Victor of Belgrade award, which has been presented since 2015 for the best film, direction, screenplay, roles and best debut. The honorary Victor statuette is awarded to personalities from Serbia and abroad who have left a mark in the history of the seventh art. Pantelić is the initiator of the Nebojša Đukelić award, which is given by film professionals and critics to the best regional film of FEST. In 2021, he was awarded the Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight in the Order of Arts and Letters) by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of France.
