WHAT HAPPENS LATER

Two ex-lovers, Bill and Willa, get snowed in at a regional airport overnight. Indefinitely delayed, Willa, a magical thinker, and Bill, a catastrophic one, find themselves just as attracted to and annoyed by one another as they did decades earlier. But as they unpack the riddle of their mutual past and compare their lives to the dreams they once shared, they begin to wonder if their reunion is mere coincidence, or something more enchanted.

Meg Ryan first showed her comedic appeal in role of Sally in When Harry Met Sally... (1989). The role netted Ryan her first Golden Globe Award nomination. She went on to star in Nora Ephron’s romantic comedy Sleepless in Seattle (1993), garnering a second Globe nomination. Her final collaboration with Ephron was the romantic comedy You’ve Got Mail (1998) which once gained Ryan third Golden Globe nomination. Acclaim has also come to Ryan for her distinctive dramatic portraits. These include her role as the first military woman nominated for a Medal of Honor in Courage Under Fire (1996), and her moving portrayal of a wonderful woman with a drinking problem in When a Man Loves a Woman (1994). Ryan earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for her performance in Promised Land (1987). From fighter pilot’s wife in Top Gun (1986) Ryan went on to star in such notable films as The Doors (1991), French Kiss (1995), City of Angels (1998), Proof of Life (2000) and Ithaca (2015) which she directed.
