Pema Tseden is a Tibetan director, screenwriter and author. Most of Pema Tseden’s films were shot in Tibetan language by Tibetan teams. Widely recognized as a pioneer of the Tibetan New Wave, Tseden’s of cinematic works includes: The Silent Holy Stones (2005), The Search (2009), Old Dog (2011), Tharlo (2015), Jinpa (2018) and Balloon (2019) amongst others. His films have been selected at Venice FF, Locarno FF, Toronto FF and many other major international festivals, winning over forty international prizes.
