Julian is a fifty-year-old divorcee. After starting to use a car-sharing app to help with his financial problems, he meets Lorena, a young girl who frequently travels to Madrid. For the past few months, Lorena has had a permanent place in Julian’s car, and more recently, in his heart. Julian is determined to tell her how he feels on the next trip, but an error when choosing the remaining occupants of the car will find him lumbered with a very unsettling fourth passenger, whose presence will bring about a radical change.

ALEKS DE LA IGLESIJA / ÁLEX DE LA IGLESIA

Álex de la Iglesia (Bilbao, 1965) graduated in Philosophy from the University of Deusto and took his first steps in film as an art director. He made his directorial debut with the short Mirindas Asesinas (1991), and two years later coming his first feature film, Mutant Action (1992), which won three Goya awards. His second film, The Day of the Beast (1995), established him as one of the most important directors of Spanish cinema and won six Goya awards, among them the one for Best Director. His filmography includes titles as Perdita Durango (1997), Common Wealth (2000), 800 Bullets (2002), Ferpect Crime (2004) or The Oxford Murders (2007). In 2010 he premiered The Last Circus at the Venice Film Festival, where the jury chaired by Quentin Tarantino awarded the film with the prize for Best Screenplay and the Silver Lion for Best Direction. A year later he filmed As Luck Would Have It (2011) and then he released Witching and Bitching (2012), the winner of eight Goyas. His filmography as a director includes other films such as My Big Night (2015), The Bar (2016) and Perfect Strangers (2017).
