PhD Ivana Kronja (1970, Belgrade) is a filmologist and film critic. She received her master’s degree and doctorate (2010) in Filmology at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, University of Arts in Belgrade. OSI/FCO Doctoral Research Fellow at Oxford University, UK (2002-03). Professor OUD BAPUSS. Author of the monographs: Deadly Glow: Mass Psychology and Aesthetics of Turbofolk (2001) and Esthetics of Avant-Garde and Experimental Film: Body, Gender, Identity / Europe - USA - Serbia (Film Center of Serbia, 2020), numerous scientific works on media and film and film reviews published in the country and abroad. She is the author of the short feature film The Game of Truth (1995) and the experimental film Rat in the Kitchen (2004). She is a member of the National Section of Serbia - FIPRESCI. Associate of the Slovenian Film Day in Belgrade and Serbia since its foundation in 2015, co-selector of the Croatian Film Festival in Belgrade (2019-2022) and jury member at several international film and theater festivals in the country and region (Infant, Motovun FF, Auteur’s Film Festival, 25 FPS Zagreb, LIFFE, Portorož FF, Mister Vorky Ruma…).
