Jasmin Duraković is a director, producer, screenwriter, and writer. He directed the feature films Nafaka (2006), Yearning for Karim (2010), I Am from Krajina, the Land of Chestnuts (2013), The Final Barrier (2016), and The Glory of Emptiness. His films have been screened at numerous international festivals and have won several awards.
As a film producer, he has participated in the production of various films shown at leading international festivals, including Cannes, Berlinale, Rotterdam, Toronto, and Sarajevo Film Festival. He was a creative producer of successful television projects and series such as Pozitivna geografija (Positive Geography), Crazy, Confused, Normal, and Welcome to the Orient Express.
Duraković is the founder of the production company DEPO. He is the author of the award-winning dramas Grad snova 2000 (City of Dreams 2000) and Te sjajne godine opsade (Those Great Years of Siege), and he also works as a theatre director. He was the director of the Radio and Television of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the director of the Sarajevo Film Centre. He is the president of the Charlama Visual Arts Centre in Sarajevo.
